Katherine Codekas, B.S., J.D.
     Originally from southern California, Ms. Codekas received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1984.  She spent a decade working as a financial analyst for Fortune 500 companies and as an accountant for motion picture production companies before attending law school.  In 1998, she graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego.  While completing her legal education, Ms. Codekas participated in the school's highly selective judicial internship program, serving first as an intern for the Honorable Judith Haller, Associate Justice of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One, then as an intern for the Honorable Anthony J. Battaglia, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.  Ms. Codekas also interned at the California Department of Justice in the Natural Resources Division.
     Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Codekas relocated to Sacramento and opened Codekas Family Law.  She is admitted to practice before all of the courts of the State of California and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Central Districts of California.  She is a member of the Family Law and Solo and Small Firm sections of the California State Bar, as well as the Family Law section of the Sacramento County Bar Association.
     Ms. Codekas brings her extensive experience in business and negotiation to her practice of family law.  In addition to her significant experience litigating family law cases in the Sacramento County Superior Court, Ms. Codekas has appeared numerous times in appellate and writ proceedings in the Third District Court of Appeal.
